Maplin Electronics Commission Hitura to Produce a CD Based Ordering System for Over Half a Million Customers in the UK and Eire
Since Hitura redesigned Maplin Electronics e-commerce store we are pleased to announce Maplin have awarded the conversion of their catalogue of 13,000 products onto a CD Rom that integrates with the online ordering process.
Orders can be made on a laptop or PC not connected to The Internet and simply sent to the Maplin website for fulfilment as normal once online. This provides a fantastic tool for the regular customers who are on the move and simply cannot get access to wireless internet or the 50% (Sep 2005) of the UK that still uses dial up internet.
Over half a million copies of the CD were distributed making it an important tool in driving sales at Maplin and part of Hitura’s commitment to help drive sales for one of the UK’s leading electrical retailers.
